Why I Chose Nation United:
I believe in the mission of Nation United what they stand for. The diversity among the Nation United team is unlike any team I have been on. A basic human desire is to feel like they belong somewhere. Being around such a diverse group of players and coaches, and experiencing the culture of the team, it felt right and I felt a sense of belonging. I am honored to compete among this team of talented players.
What Makes Me an Ambassador:
I give 100% in improving my academics, lacrosse skills, strength, speed, agility, being a positive example for younger players, and encouraging others to give lacrosse a try.
How I Impact My Community:
I enjoy giving back and paying it forward to my community. I help coach the younger players in the Keller Lacrosse Association. I volunteer a lot at the Buddhist Temple my family and I belong to. I help at the Sunday services with setting up, any heavy lifting, and cleaning up after service. During the week, if my grandparents tell me that the temple needs me to go assist with a project, I go help out. Origami Owl is the company my mother works for and I am a part of their Young Entrepreneur Program for which I was a Council Member for the years 2018 and 2019. As a Council Member, I worked directly with Origami Owl’s founders to help give ideas and insight on the Youth Entrepreneur Program and to help be the voice of the preteen and teenage men in the company. I helped lead Zoom video conferences for the “Owlettes and Bros” ages 11-17 and helped to train them through the program. I am a big advocate for Donate Life and anytime Children’s Health in Dallas, TX needs my family and me to help with any events involving Donate Life, I am happy to help. This summer, I plan to volunteer at the local food bank and for Children’s Health, since I finally am old enough to.
